5 years ago Thats cool, and will be pretty fun I think, based on some of the posts Ive seen on other food mods. As far as the pots and pans, I just thought this would be kind of cool, just because I dont think anyone else has used a pot or pan as an actual machine/workbench, I mean Ive seen pots and pans, but they are just like the furnace, 1 item at a time, looks cool, but still only as useful as the furnace.
So Ive been thinking about the current system in MC for cooking/baking food, simplistic but effective for common food stuffs, single ingredient foods. Not sure how hard this would be, but have pots and pans with gui like any other machine, except they need a stove or oven as a power source/heat source. For example, making an omelette in a pan. The pan would have to go on the stove for a heat source and opening the pan gui offers several slot for input and an output slot, in the input slots place an egg mixture (egg, milk, salt and pepper made in a mixing bowl), pork (ham/bacon/pork chop), cheese, sliced mushroom (or whole) and depending on whether or not youve got mod support you could add other ingredients from whatever mods. Once the recipe is in, the pan takes some time to heat, just like a furnace and BAM!!! (sorry Emeril) a bacon and cheese omelette. This could be done for pots as well for soups, roasts, etc. While all these things could be done separately in a furnace with a little premixing in the workbench, its just not as realistic.
