stream getting skkip #29

hello in last updates we face issue some time when we kick first rj to transfer 
radio to  other rj then our radio stream / songs etc start skipping and 
listeners need to restart browser or stop from app then replay we are using 
1.9.8 and edcast does not work with version 2 as i sent you mail  many times 
1st apend string or song name does not show
2nd  when we kick radio stop and same users have restart player to listen 
listen new rj.
donated already waiting  new version 4 will  donate again thanks for your hard 
work and keep alive to edcast

DNAS v2 support is coming in v4

If new "rj" is streaming in even the slightest different format to old rj, this 
will require listeners to stop/start - this is due to the player, nothing to do 
with the source (i.e. edcast)

hello,thanks for your reply what do you  mean  by format mean stream kbps ? we 
have nearly 12 rj and  all have same version of winamp + same edcast  we 
broadcast at 32 kbps with 32000 simple rate as we consider about  slow Internet 
listeners. 
one  other  issue some time when "RJ" click  on Mic  to go on air then KPBS get 
reduced to 12 or 15 etc then radio get disconnected and  goes to other rj as we 
setup reconnect time 3 second. could  you  help  us  in this issue ? if we use  
old  edcast versions eg from your tpg site they work fine for us. thank you so 
much

That's odd behaviour for sure, but I have not changed anything on the encoding 
and streaming part of edcast for a long time. Most recent changes were the 
limiter and start in tray, and some initialisation issues.

However, I did change MP3 encoding. Perhaps you could try deleting and 
recreating your encoder if you use MP3
