Microphone issue

I'm on windows 8.1  64 bits.
I'm using latest winamp.
I'm using latest edcast reborn.

My problem is with the microphone. I start my music, and when its time to talk 
to the audience, I open my mic and my music stops completly, when I finish 
talking, the music comes back on. So, for the listener, there is a "cut". I 
would like to have the music to lower volume "WHILE" am talking then when I 
close the mic, the music volume comes back on so there is no "cut".

Works great on windows 7 but since windows 8.1 I got this issue.

Thanks for the help and hope someone has a solution for me :)
