Do any gauges in the real world have such a legend? It might be helpful if you 
could provide additional information or a more concrete use case of your own.

in our app there is a gauge of the % of finished user tickets by opened user 
tickets,
and there is 3 levels of SLA: critic, normal and good. The legend would have 
this 3 levels under the gauge.
I understand that the label in the center of jsgauge serve as the indicator of 
the level, maybe it is just more informative for the user to know what are the 
levels the gauge can show.
But you are right, there is not so many use cases for this feature. Given the 
label in the center of the gause.
