The main focus of these guides should be to educate about topics that most people seldom think about — or at least are expected not to do so frequently. It should cover knowledge holes and raise awareness.
However, some parts may also re-iterate on topics that may even be covered in basic training. The best example would be "impossible turns and crossing runways" where most people probably covered impossible turns during their training but adding the awareness of crossing runways might end up being beneficial.
The crucial word here is "entropy". The guides may not be so extensive that no one will read them, but should still cover valuable insights in the necessary depth.
