Slide

• I wish you had chosen a theme for your slide deck. Leaving the slides white not only makes it hard on the eyes, but it gives the slide deck a very stark feel. Colors and patterns are your friends! 👍
• Make sure to balance the text on slides. You don't want to have text-heavy slides alternating with slides that have a lot of white space.
• I like the breakdown of the first research question and your methodology over several slides. Very thorough.
• Great job breaking down how the dataframe of sheep was created and obstacles in merging tables.
• While calculations were correct for the Foot and Mouth research, the study should actually run for shorter periods of time. You indeed need a sample of approx. 870, you need to calculate the total time of observation by calculating based on the amount of the sample that needs to demonstrate the decrease. So how much of the 870 sheep sample is needed to show the disease is decreasing? Based on that calculate the number of weeks.

Good feedback I did this entire intensive and presentation on my Ipad. I used Google Drive for the presentation and struggled with the presentation side of things. In hindsight I should have done it in Powerpoint at work and made it look cleaner and colorful.

I just checked my notes on the SQL sample size lesson and realised my calculation for duration of sampling was incorrect. Should be = sheep observed per week * 2.0 / 870. Which gives approx 1 week at Yellowstone and 2 weeks at the other park.
