FYI regarding upstream project status #147

Open lukastribus opened 1 year ago

lukastribus commented 1 year ago

This is an FYI about the upstream support status, the author says quote:

I've stopped working on it but maybe I'll return to it some day.

Nobody else appears to have the rights to commit or release, and requests to discuss the projects future have been left unanswered.

A fork has been initiated here: https://github.com/adminerevo/adminerevo

Thank you for this heads up. I already assumed as much as part of https://github.com/docker-library/official-images/pull/13622#issuecomment-1333930752.

The first version 4.8.2 of the fork adminerevo was now released.

A question about a docker image was also raised (but I think the project has enough to do without worrying about docker containers): https://github.com/adminerevo/adminerevo/issues/22

I've done a quick hack job of getting this working based on this repo. I needed it building in our CI on Gitlab, and I also wanted to use the Debian Apache PHP image instead of the built in PHP Dev server. Hopefully this will help anyone else who needs this running. https://github.com/suaustralia/adminerevo-docker
