Walls again #2

For some reason, not all walls between tiles of the same material are removed when exporting

In the screenshot, I removed one of the sides of a large number of tiles. It can be seen that there are partitions between the tiles

Is the mod abandoned?

No, it is not abandoned, but I have currently no time/motivation to continue due to university. I still want to continue to work on this mod however. I hope I will get back to it later this year.

In the meantime, you can help to resolve this issue by posting an export (from normal Little Exporter) in text format in which this issue is visible so I can investigate it further.

Oh my god. The model is very large, I don't know if you can make out something here. The text didn't fit into the comment, I packed it in a txt file. model.txt

In this comment is the text of the piece of the model that is visible in the screenshot. It may be more convenient to work with him. If anything, the problem with the walls persists throughout the entire volume of the model, and not just in this part

Thanks, I took a look at it and now I understand what exactly did you mean. Yes, some walls between tiles are not being removed because they are not the same exact size. Easiest example is two full blocks next to each other and a full block and a slab next to each other: image The wall between the full block and a slab does not get removed as the faces that are creating the wall are not the same, one is smaller than the other one and current algorithm that removes the walls does not know how to solve this problem. I do plan to also process these faces in the future, but it's much harder than just removing two identical faces that form a wall. I will leave this issue open as a remainder to fix it in the future.

Hello. Thank you for continuing to develop this mod. I hope next year the problem with the walls will be solved and I will be able to continue porting my city to a blender. Still, it is much more pleasant to build models in minecraft than in a specialized program
