I'm having an issue with Direct Seeding after Harvesting Fields with this mod currently #40

So am currently using your mod on a new save in FS22. I'm right at the start of the save in just my second month, so have currently spent a lot of time harvesting. I'm now trying to Seed/Plant fields that have been harvested and my theory is if a field needs ploughing in the map view I'm putting Raddish on it first to get the fertiliser bonus later when I plough, if the fields don't need ploughing I'm just direct drilling straight after harvest as I'm also playing with Precision Farming and want the "No Tillage" bonus on my fields.

The problem I'm getting though is using the Vadestadt Seeder from the base game, it's not actually seeding fields correctly that have had a crop on them, been harvested and now are being drilled. 2024-09-17

If I seed on a field that has been ploughed or cultivated or spawned when the game was created with no crop on it, then the fields seed perfectly fine.

Any ideas what's causing this problem?

Thanks, unfortunately there are no pointers about what's happening. Can you please copy the save game into an empty slot and load that new save with just Conservation Agriculture, then try to sow into a harvester field again?

If that works, we are dealing with a mod conflict; If it doesn't work, it's probably an issue in my mod alone

So tried the save game with only your Mod and all worked okay with no issues.

So I guessing it's a mod conflict, and having a look back at the fields which haven't seeded correctly, they all seem to be fields which I did Swathing On using the Swathing Addon Mod, so wonder if that has caused some kind of issue with your mod?

Okay so something else I have observed playing today @Timmeey86 is that if you have painted Meadow Grass from the landscaping menu on a part of your field, when going over that with a seeder or planter with your mod installed and active, it removes the Meadow Grass from the field as you'd expect, but here is the thing, it's not then seeding and putting the crop into that area of the field.

I've tested this twice now on fields where I have used the terrain painting and plant painting feature of the game to alter the shape and size of some of my fields and on both fields where I have over painted with the meadow grass, crop has not actually been sown or planted on the field around the edge where the meadow grass was, but the the field texture/cultivated texture has been restored. So it seems with your mod active, foliage gets removed from the field area, but crop isn't sown then in the place where that foliage was.

Edit: Nevermind, I see what you mean now. I'll have to investigate this
