normal phone call.

I am a beginner and need your help on configuring pbxes.org account please.:

I live in india and successfully configured, GV, GvoiceCallback, sipdroid (sip
address is not from sip2sip.info but with iptel.org). I have the following
issues:

1. Is it true that we can make In/out international calls using
IPkall/GV/GVcallback/Sipdroid/pbxes.org ? If yes, then I have been trying to do
that but not able to.

2. I can call my brother who is in US by GV call back and when I get a call, he
gets echo (unless i adjust the voice to highest, i cannot hear his voice).

3. Frequently the call getting disconnected and even though Net is avaialble
(wifi), sipdroid taking time to register its sip address. why ?

4. what is the importance of pbxes.org ? how to configure trunks and extensions
in it ? and what is the advantage of it ? Even i have linked GV with pbxes.org
account.

5. HOw to make internatoinal calls (for me its local and for GV its
international i believe) without regularly adding
+011numberoflocalindiancontact+| ?

6. As i have been using Samsung CDMA android, I have used some callback android
applications which staright away gave me free international calls through it
using wifi. Then why cannot we have it possible using this pbxes.org?

7. when i used to callup from google call now plugin within website (using us
proxy), it was quite clear and least echo and least disconnects unlike with
this GV and GV call back. why?

please reply.

The fixed apk from Comment 69 by devyx...@gmail.com works fine for me with a
ZTE Crescent. Would be nice to see an official fix/option to toggle speaker
modes in preferences though.

Not sure how to patch the latest build myself.

Is there any chance for this to be fixed in the latest Sipdroid release?

Issue still exists in latest release.

Is there a way to completely disable speaker at all?

Same problem with latest sipdroid (2.7 beta) from Playstore on Galaxy T989
running CM10 stable.

Applied patched version 1.6.1 beta from comment #69 and now audio works through
the earpiece correctly!

Please merge fix into main code stream.

Thank you.

Sadly 1.6.1 beta does not have select calling options before each call, and i
don't want to call everytime from sipdroid, so no go for me.

I thought 1.6.1 supports override by adding '+' at the end of a number?

I will try to compile the patch when I have time to set up eclipse at home.

OK, I have compiled the latest 2.7 beta with the fixes from Comment #69.

It fixed the default to speaker problem on my SGS2 Hercules T989.

Here's a link for anyone who wants to try.

The fix at https://docs.google.com/open?id=0BxwAARRB3ZcIcnA0bTJsY0VPOHM fixed
the problem for me. I had to revert from v2.8 to that bugfix (2.7). My device
is a Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket. Now everything plays through the device as
expected. Before I had to turn speaker on, then off for it to play through the
phones earpiece instead of the speakers.

Good to hear that

Will this fix be pushed into the newer versions?

I don't know. This is my private compile. It's up to the developer if he wants
to incorporate this fix or not.

Issue still extant for Alcatel Venture. GrooVe IP's audio routing switches do
the correct thing for this device identically to Samsungs. I'm willing to try a
test build against the current version if one is available.

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
Ah, the test build in comment 111 works for me on the Venture (the mic gain is
rather low, so I'm hoping it's not using speakerphone mode for mic pickup).
Incoming audio is properly routed to the earpiece.

(fyi, the Venture has Android 2.3.5, and the version I tried was Sipdroid 3.0.
Apologies for the multiple-comment spam.)
