World generation will be done by changing the positions and orientations of handmade islands. That means that dungeons will stay the same if they span a single island, and that overworld paths are unknown, and they are not 100% of the game.
No. More abilities you spawn in with will give you an advantage.
The world is divided into 4 levels/altitudes. The path to get up to the next level is made possible/easier with items you spawned in with (if they're the right ones, i.e. the ones from the dungeons of the current level). NOTE: since each level/altitude the player will find a new transformation (except lowest level is the default Human), if you have the transformation to for the next level already, there will be a shortcut to get up to the next level if you use that transformation (also, revisiting lower levels bc of certain biomes that favor a transformation you just got is easier bc of this traveling system).
I'm not sure how to answer these questions. Is this meaning the individual runs before the player dies? If so, what does Fastest/Slowest mean? Does that mean the lowest/highest amount of expected time before death?
The game should take around 12 hours to complete the main story.
If you get lucky on a run and complete half the dungeons (i.e. the only ones necessary to get the items to pass the path to get to the next level), then 6 hours, but you'd have to know what's in the path to the next level before committing to it. If you inputted a certain random seed and never died I'm sure you could do it.
Imagining this is completing all of the dungeons, getting to the end of the game, and along the way getting all of the upgrades, 16 hours.
Once you get to the end of the game with all of the upgrades, you'll get info to obtain the true ending, but you have to delete your save file to get the chance to trigger starting the path to the true ending. This true ending will take around 3 hours.
So to 100%, 19 hours.
