Add simple check for the case the current IP is empty #186

If the current IP is nil (somehow the get current IP utils cannot retrieve the current IP), we should add some logs to have a better troubleshooting.

Sorry for the workflow, I'm testing out the codesee, try to visualize the code for pet but it push directly to my fork repo.
