I opened the attached issue (https://github.com/drivendataorg/cloudpathlib/issues/376) to introduce compatability between aiofiles and cloudpathlib. The author gave some suggestions for making the two libraries compatibility, possibly including a modification to this library to be compatible with more general pathlike objects.
