because the skill is confused with another skill

is it named differently then? Right now a character which had the ability did not have it anymore after modding the save (might be corruption as well?)

No, I mean that the skill is confused with another skill by the save editor, so it's normal that the skill disappear or the skill is replaced by another skill.
