Looking to confirm if this would work. I also need to verify polarity... my physical watch should arrive next week...

EEMB Lithium Polymer Battery 3.7V 250mAh 502030 Lipo Rechargeable Battery Pack with Wire JST 2.0mm Connector for VXI Blue Parrott- Confirm Device & Connector Polarity Before Purchase Visit the EEMB Store

UnexpectedMaker commented 9 months ago

The connector you need is 1.25mm, not 2mm JST. This is the battery I am currently experimenting with. It's a tad thicker, and might ned a case tweak, but it's the biggest capacity I can find in a small package as is narrower then other's I've looked at. https://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_DkbJJYp

It also has the correct polarity for guidance, but you can always swap the wires in the connector if you are careful.

I have a 400 mAh PKCELL LP801735 (adafruit) which is almost the perfect size, but just a fraction too thick (about 1 mm out of the backing recess). I might have to bust out the Dremel.

Yeah, 8mm is a bit thick for mu case design. You can just alter the back of the case STEP file to make it deeper, and re-print it, if you have a 3D printer.... or Dremel it ;)

My case design was based around 3-4mm thick batteries.

Oh, the pink foam needs to bake taken out. It's only there for when there is no battery, to keep the PCB in place. If you are worried about protecting the battery/electronics, you'll want to find something thinner than the foam, or I guess you could use it, but it's going to make for a very thick watch ;)

Got it! I just included the foam in the photos for scale.

Hey, it worked for Dick Tracy. XD
