Noted.
In general, I am reluctant to remove support for a character unless it has been formally deprecated by Unicode. Even if a character is not actually used, and should be avoided, some organisations expect full Unicode block support, and I wouldn’t want to remove support for a character only to have to add it back to satisfy some boc-ticking requirement.
Agree, I may have to write an mail to SAH for opinions on formal depreciation of the character. Will send a mail to Deborah & Roozbeh
The encoding of Anusvara in the Tamil script is a mistake, it is a non-existing character in the Tamil script. Anusvara doesn't exist in either Tamil language or script. The existing annotation in the code chart is not clear enough and is misleading. See the following document for the details https://www.unicode.org/L2/L2012/12018-tamil-anusvara-depr.pdf Tamil code chart: http://www.unicode.org/charts/PDF/U0B80.pdf The support for 0B82 can be removed from Tiro Tamil font
