Maybe this is due to me building things incorrectly, but I'm seeing a sudden drop in the etendue on the central vertical channel. This is with a (33,1) pixel mesh.
I've noticed when refining the vertical pixel mesh that when the number of pixels is even then that central hollowing widens and get populated with nan's. This is with a (33,4) pixel mesh:
Refining the horizontal mesh doesn't seem to impact this behavior
