Like I said in #80 this should also be in a larger "Responsive UI" issue. You can even make a Project of it

UI upgrade branch would be a thing

the thing is that your front-end and your back-end are really tied up together so I don't know if that would be maintainable. Come merge time, conflicts will rain upon you
