Double DBNavigator Menu entry #39

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
I installed DBNavigator and somehow there was an error during the process, so I
hard-reset the software (PhpStorm 5.0), installed it again and now I have two
DBNavigator entries on the Main Menu.

I'm using now PhpStorm 6.0 in Windows 7 x64.

Now this is weird. There's no way i could reproduce that.
Can you please check the plugin folders? You may have two versions of the
plugin installed. That would explain it half ways. Please check both locations
(custom plugins and standard distribution plugins).

Thanks for your support.

Well, I looked for it and the plugin's folder is only installed at the custom
plugins folder.

As a workaround, I removed one of the entries straight from PhpStorm menu
customization option (right click on the Main toolbar->Customize menus and
toolbars..). That should work for someone having this issue.

This may have been due to the error you had while installing the plugin. The
menu configuration seems to have been corrupted in some strange way. What
happens if you do "Restore All Defaults" in "Menu and Toolbars" settings? Does
the double menu reappear? (provided you do not have settings of your own that
you don't want to lose)

Awfully, I *do* have a lot of settings and customizations all over my
PhpStorm, so that won't be possible for me. However, it's partially fixed
with the solution I provided before, and by now WFM :)

I thought so :)
I will close this ticket as "not reproducible". If the problem becomes acute, i
am sure more people will complain so i will have a closer look.
Thanks for your support so far.
