Where is OS version?
Where is ConEmu build?

Latest build version and Window 7 (64). 130815, i tried both x86 and 64, they
are the same. I used console2, it works fine.
Some symptom is if you press shift for 2 seconds in ipython, and then press 8
(to type *), it then becomes very slow to show up the * key

Open Settings dialog and activate "Info" page.
Switch back to ConEmu window and type.
If it becomes slow - make screenshots of both window and attach it here.
Also, run "ConEmu /log", reproduce lags and attach here LogFiles.

you can see if I try to type plot(a**2), but I press shift key for 1 second,

Seems like your "Info" screenshot doesn't match ConEmu screenshot.
There is no ipython.exe p process in a list. Hmm?

Well, your problem is not a drawing problem.
Lets try typing in RealConsole?
When ipython is running in ConEmu, press CtrlWinAltSpace, set focus in
RealConsole website
And type your texts... Are there lags persists?
Also, try to enable "Inject ConEmuHk", if the problem will be fixed - it will
be fixed I'm ConEmuHk.

Attachments:
i press means.CtrlWinAltSpace and a small console pops up and type the same commands in that console but the problems still exist, no matter whether I enabled inject or not. When I enable it, it may have more severe delay for other types other than "shift"
I think you may reproduce this problem, if you press shift for a while and
then, type & * %, ect. there will be delay.
My shell is PyCmd, and ipython is shipped with Enthought canopy, which you can
download for free, and type what I did, you may see the problem.
