meybe wire, matrix, tox, simplex channel
In my opinion power is important, and meybe add cc1101 or lora (meshtastic , reticullum) and(or) some mesh wifi (for example BATMAN)
I see. I'll instead reply with the help I can offer. I want to help build a community around this project. Discord, mailing lists whatever I can find for free. I doubt you have tons of money since you've a college student, and I certainly don't. I'm willing to research other options for the community. While I do have an electrical and computer engineering degree the electrical part is completely useless and totally dated. I've worked as a programmer for years now. I'm interested in testing the project too. I have lots of experience testing from being a programmer from unit testing to integration testing to bug hunting testing. The only issue is hardware access. Once you have a stableish rev B, we can discuss how to get one in my hands. I'm absolutely willing to buy even a prototype, maybe I can buy a rev B for both of us, depending on the cost. Due to health issues I can't do much of anything with today's tech mainly because of I can't handle things that small. I'd have to ask for help assembling the nametag, plus no 3d printer access but that isn't a big deal since 3d printing for hire is widely available. I'm also willing to discuss the future plans for the project. I've personally seen founders and contributors burn out on a project, or have a change of plans and stop contributing to a project. I'm willing to step up to a more senior roll if your circumstances change. They changed for me when former employers refused to allow me to write code on my own time on my own equipment. I only want to take over if it's absolutely necessary, since I don't have any open source project leadership, but I do have related community building experience.
Mike
I hate to contact you this way but github doesn't make it easy. I'd like to discuss with you about if you're ready to accept help and what kind of help you need and are ready to accept. This is the first open source project I've been passionate enough about to actively contribute to.
I realize you maybe uncomfortable discuss this openly. I'm open to discussing this privately.
Thanks Mike
