Firefox 8 with cck

Steps to reproduce:

I installed firefox 8 on Ubuntu, Installed cck 1.3.4 and it not working. The 
xpi was created and put inside the mozilla installation directory, inside the 
extensions directory.

Actual results:

Firefox won't get the configuration at the user's home. 
~/.mozilla/firefox/xxxx.default/extensions.ini is wrong. The ExtensionDirs 
section is blank. 

Expected results:

The extensions.ini file should have A ExtensionDirs with Extension0=  "

Can you be more specific?

Do you see the add-on in the add-ons manager?

How exactly is it installed?

If you install the add-on manually (just drag and drop it into Firefox), does 
it work?

Also please test on the latest Firefox.
