What is used to determine symbols? #1

Is there an official resource that you use to determine letters and positioning and such? I don't mind artistic liberties, but I am interested in the background on how it was established.

Hi. The rules for this flavor of gallifreyan were invented by a guy named Loren Sherman. You will find guides when you google his name and gallifreyan. As far as i know, it's not officially recognized by BBC, but there is a respectable community about it on the internets. particularily on reddit: http://www.reddit.com/r/gallifreyan
