chore: make it more clear when and why we bumped "cmp" version and that we are now using a fork of it #2748

these 3 commits bump and change "cmp" version from https://github.com/camgunz/cmp to https://github.com/Toktok/cmp

make it clearer and more explicit that we bumped the version 3 times and also explain and review why we changed to our own fork. now its a bit difficult to clearly see those in the commit history. the PR titles and commit titles do not mention "cmp"
