Fix Up Note Selection User Interaction

Clean up the user interaction surrounding selecting notes

Description

Currently the user interaction with selecting notes sucks

It's hard for users to deselect notes and they aren't keyboard navigable

Done When

[ ] Users can deselect a note by clicking on it
[ ] Users can intuitively navigate the fretboard via a keyboard
[ ] Clicking anywhere off the fretboard deselects a note
