DD-WRT no WPS Support #44

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Linksys WRT54G/GL/GS with Firmware: DD-WRT v24-sp2 (10/10/09) mini
2. airodump-ng mon0
3. Cancel airdump-ng and copy target bssid
3. reaver -i mon0 -b 00:01:02:03:04:05 -c 6 -vv

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

After getting a beacon frame it gets associated but never starts the pin tries.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

Backtrack 5r1 64bit

Please provide any additional information below.

Researching DD-WRT's site it was revealed that DD-WRT DOES NOT support WPS and
configured the WPS button to work as a Reset Button

How do you propose the author fixes this? He can't make DD-WRT all of a sudden
support WPS and because of that reaver can't do pin tests. The only thing the
author can do is have a check for DD-WRT firmwares that will make the program
close when it detects it.

Exactly what I'm suggesting - Also can make a note for future references in
release notes.

I didn't think it was necessary to mention that a tool that attacks the WPS
protocol won't work on devices that don't support the WPS protocol. :)

A feature request (issue #20) is already in for detecting WPS support.

Wow, really? Is this the firmware made specifically for the Buffalo routers?
Have you tested Reaver against it, and is it on by default?
