That's it, I updated to ubuntu 20.10 and it isnt working anymore

Same here. Gnome extensions panel gives this error: No property y_fill on Gjs_AllWorkspacesDisplay

I made a quick fix, see https://github.com/Tomha/gnome-shell-extension-workspace-switcher/pull/6
You can use my branch until this get fixed upstream
