Scene instantiation still handled properly, the client was decided as the one in the scene first and tracked all objects.
For some reason though, TNH initialization does not take place and a controller of the TNH instance is never chosen, causing both to initialize and spawn their starting equipment.
Was caused by a damage patch throwing exception so no TNH patch was ever applied
