doesn't need to be anything complex just some dots that increment see a slider i did here ... www.mcdonnel.com

Hi again @energy0m -

This is something that can be solved through a custom theme. We'll be releasing a selection of themes with version 1.1, and I'll make sure to include a theme with a navigation component!

energy0m commented 12 years ago

righton thanx for the speedy responses ;) anyidea what yalls timeline on the 1.1 release is? would love to show you my use of yalls slider as we did some creative stuff with the slideshapes id like to show ya... might be something cool to include in a theme if ya want ... but i have the demo dev site im working on locked down via ip so id need to add your ip to the .htaccess if ya wanna chk it out... marc@dunkdog.com.....

I see that ben did yalls icons ;) he rocks i hired him on the dunkdog project last year u'll see the icons he did for us on the site... anyhow .. thanx for a killer slide plugin and i look forward to future releases ...

chrisvanpatten commented 12 years ago

Our target for the release is in about a week but it might actually be a bit later than that. We'll try our best though!

And yeah, Ben is fantastic! We're happy to have his icons.

Hey i saw there was an update to yalls milestone 1.1 in "17 hours" are yall actually on track to hit that ? check out what we did with yalls slider http://new.dunkdog.com I integrated phpThumb into the theme to cut the image with a png image mask on the fly so it makes a transparent frame around the image served by yalls system ....

if yall are indeed on track to hit it that would rock .. that way i could use the same system for the slider in my header ;)

chrisvanpatten commented 12 years ago

That looks great!

We won't be hitting our target for 1.1, but we're hoping it'll be out very soon. As soon as we have a good idea when, I'll update here.

Sorry, we're not on our original time schedule for v1.1 at all. We are probably a month or more behind my original (ambitious) goal.

Total Slider is a great project, but it will from time to time have to suffer, as other projects arrive and get bumped to top priority status! Unfortunately this is just the nature of the project for the moment, unless someone is willing to fund our time on it. :)

You can follow v1.1 development on the 'unstable' branch. What you see there will be the development copy of the code we're working on, as we're working on it. Stating the obvious, perhaps, but it's not guaranteed to work. If you're willing to take the risks, though, you can keep up-to-date with that and get the new features as they get developed.

Your feedback on unstable is most welcome!

we have the budget to fund it if u are interested. there's alot I'd like to do with it if I had y'all available to develop customized stuff :)

there's actually 3 specifc tasks if like to tackle

do you have time to talk about it today ( Monday )

Hi Marc,

I need to discuss this idea with Chris Van Patten, who is also working on this project.

I will be in touch soon!

For clarity, the availability of built-in templates is now being handled by #37, and this issue is being closed.
