GUI Settings have no effect #139

Open SHEERSPECTOR opened 5 years ago

SHEERSPECTOR commented 5 years ago

Changing the HUD Base Position, the X offset, or the Y offset has no effect on location of the display for jet-pack fuel and current states.

Issue was noticed in larger modpack, but it also exists in a custom profile containing only SimplyJetpacks and its dependencies.

Forge: 14.23.5.2838

Setting the basepoint to 5 (bottom left corner) in the settings produces no change in location of HUD in game. Reloading from main menu or restarting Minecraft instance doesn't update the HUD. settings basepoint 5 basepoint 5 hud

The offset values also produce no changes to the location of the indicators. settings offset test offset test

This is due to the fact that the in-game-config menu is not working for my mod at the moment. If you use the config file, then it should work. And yes I know it is really painful to restart everytime you change something. I am working on fixing some issues at the moment, will look into the config menu, too.

An easy way to test this would be to just load only this mod (maybe make a separate instance or something?), cheat in a jetpack, configure the HUD the way you want, then copy the config to whatever modpack you want to use.

That way the load time is basically the same as regular Minecraft.

Hope this bug gets fixed for 1.12.2 though.

Simply Jetpacks 2 1.12.2-2.2.16.1 fixes this issue.
