What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Anytime Transmission Remote Gui is connected to the transmission server, 
given enough time the error will appear.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Transmission Remote Gui Version: 4.1 on Windows 7 x64
Transmission-daemon Version: 2.77 on Ubuntu 13.04 x64

There is a bug in Transmission that causes incorrect JSON output in some cases. 
It is caused by incorrect handling of tracker responces. Try to update to the 
latest version of Transmission.

Thanks for your response. A newer version of Transmission is not available yet 
in the Ubuntu repositories, but I deleted and recreated my settings.json and 
that seems to have fixed it temporarily.
