Cannot deselect a torrent in list #685

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 9 years ago

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Highlight a torrent in All, Downloading or any other
2. You are now unable to deselect any torrent in this list
3. When you now sort something, the window follows to your selection

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Clicking some white space should deselect the current selection. Instead it
does nothing.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Version 4.1 Windows 7 x64

Please provide any additional information below.
This is very annoying when you are switching between sorting by Added on date,
since normally I sort by most recently. Then anything you may have selected at
the top of the screen will of course scroll you all the way to the bottom and
you have to scroll back up to see stuff by their oldest date.

The same thing. Though, the scenario, described in the additional info is the
only one for me, where I would want to drop the selection.

IMHO, when sort by some column is made, it is enough to scroll to the top of
the list, keeping selection where it was. When someone do sort by column, it's
very unlikely that (s)he is looking for item that is adjacent to selected.
Usually people look for items on top of the list, once sorting is applied. But,
because it is not necessary the highest item in the list, it is still worth to
keep the selection.

P.S.: Scrolling to the top also saves one extra click to free space.
P.P.S.: Right after doing sort by column, I usually press Home on keyboard.
Though it is not applicable for Mac users.
