Maybe it's my fault, but please check it:
I have a Synology 1010+ running Transmission. Remote working on Windows 8.1.
When I set this download path:
/volume2/download/series/Marvel Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
I got something like this:
/volume2/download/series/MAGQCX~Q
It seems like a shortened folder name, so I checked it on the NAS. It create
the folder named
/volume2/download/series/Marvel Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D
(without last period)

I can make the folder by hand, so the problem is _not_ really problem, just
wierd for me.
Thank you!

Seems to be some issue with Samba daemon configuration on your NAS.
What name do you see when browsing this folder from your Windows PC via UNC
path?

It's the default configuration of Synology. I have two access mode:
A:\download\series
or
\\chronos\download\series

I've meant is the "Marvel Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D" folder displayed correctly
when browsing the share via Windows Explorer?

Ah! As I mentioned in the 1st post, I see "/volume2/download/series/MAGQCX~Q"
only. It's via Explorer. Every other long file name is correct, except this. :(
Wierd that if I make the path via Explorer (or other file manager) the folder
name is OK, but if the TR makes it, will be like this.
Thank you!

Then indeed it is a bug in Samba (or its config) on your NAS. It is not related
to transgui.
