Creating the Visio Diagram in Visio2016 #1

Hello there. I saw this demo'd at a VMUG in South Florida and the Visio Drawing had balloons that would view when you were highlighted over an item like a server to tell you more about it. I am drawing the Visio Diagram with 2016 and this does not appear to work in this version. Has it been tested with Visio 2016 or do I need to drop to Visio 2013 in order to get the balloon's or is there something else that I need to do to make this work.

This totally works with 2016. Do you have the shape data enabled on Visio?

How do I check that?

I just installed 2016 from an ISO and did the drawing.

Open the drawing, click Data in the ribbon, check the box for shape data.

Ok. Gave me a shape data window. Is there an option for the balloon as you highlight the item.

I also get no data like the server name under the object. All I get us will dwos server icon. So if I wanted a particular server I would have to click on all the boxes until I hit the one that I was looking for.

I redrew the visio and and now when I highlight the object it just says like Microsoft server with no additional details until I click on it a d then I get the info in the data shape window.

Just wanted to pass the information on.

Hover should not work but clicking on should. Also all objects should have name below.

So objects have no name below them. And clicking on pulls up the data in the data shape window only. Something definitely off here.

I also get no data like the server name under the object. All I get us will dwos server icon. So if I wanted a particular server I would have to click on all the boxes until I hit the one that I was looking for.

I am drawing the Visio Diagram with 2016 and this does not appear to work in this version.
