Missing Object Names - Visio 2102 (Office 365) #20

Looking to diagram a simple but large-ish environment (1 VC, 1DC, 4 Clusters, 24 Hosts...filtered out to about 175 VMs). Just running the VMs-to-Hosts diagram. Everything is drawing but the object names are not present. If I select a single object I can go to the Insert tab and put in the Name from Shape Data. I can also select multiple (let's say 10-20) objects and perform the same operation on the selected group and it works. But if I try a Ctrl-A (selecting all objects) the same op doesn't work.

Is there something I'm missing vis-a-vis getting a lot of objects to label automatically as part of the diagram generation?

Matt,

Just so that I am understanding what is happening here, you are not getting shape labels but are getting shapedata? If this is what you are experiencing, we have seen this once before when the user had pulled the data using FQDN of vCenter but then used shortname when drawing.

Well, I did pull the data with an FQDN...but also used it when initiating the drawing process :(

If your using FQDN both times then that should work without issue. Let me try to duplicate your issue over the weekend and I'll get back to you.

That'd be much appreciated Tony, zero rush as I've got a workaround. It's probably something I've screwed up but I can't figure out what.

Hi, I am getting the same issue. no Names appear on the visio diagram, but if I view the shape data all the info is there. I am using Visio 2019 This is a small 4 node test cluster with no FQDN just IP's

Any help would be great

Did anyone have luck resolving this issue. This is an amazing script. I am stuck on label less drawings.
