This mark the one-year anniversary of the blog ! The SSL certificate expired... I've created the current one to be valid until 2026 !
Happy birthday!! Is there a way of being alerted before it expires ?
No, not really. Usually, you have to pay for SSL certificate, so your provider will remind you. In our case, we have an auto-signed certificate which is supercharged by CloudFlare. CF provides encryption between clients and their servers using a trusted certificate and we provides encryption between their server and ours with the (un)trusted, free, certificate.
Those things really adds up in terms of cost (thousands per year) last time I check. But you can still have a look to different SSL certificate provider and see what'll be the cost for all our sub-domains.
