auto3dgm square module does not exist #8

Dear authors, I've just installed the auto3dgm extension for version 5.7.0-2024-06-03. During the load data step I get the following error: ImportError: cannot import name 'square' from 'scipy'

The correspondence.py program requires this square module from scipy

Another user on the 3dslicer forums encountered a similar issue in April 2024 (https://discourse.slicer.org/t/encountering-error-when-running-auto3dgm-extension/35511)

Any insights in how to fix this issue would be greatly appreciated.

As per a communication with developers this morning, it is my understanding that this extension is now unmaintained. Apparently the preferred method of using Auto3dGM is now its conda package. See here: https://github.com/ToothAndClaw/Auto3dgm_Python
