Create a new block, that can only be crafted in the the Teletory made from a ring of ender pearls with a diamond in the middle. This block can be used to build a portal in the Teletory that will Teleport you to the Upper Teletory, a dimension with a travel factor of four times the teletory.

In the upper teletory, we could make an arena with a floor made of ender blocks (so no damage is taken in it) and there is a boss inside of it. Maybe first teleportation into the upper teletory would place you in this arena.

Boss attacks:

chips out the floor so you fall back out into the overworld far away from your base
summons ender mites and endermen

Do you think he should have any attacks, also? Or just make it annoying to attack him because he chips the floor out and you may have to trek back or die from fall damage?

Maybe he just teleports around and spawns agro'ed endermen and mites, that would be pretty tough, maybe a little on the annoying side though.

Maybe just mites, not endermen. Endermen hit so hard, and it'd be too easy to just build a two-high roof to stand under and negate the endermen completely.

Oooh, maybe there are two floor attacks. One removes the floor you were standing on so you fall through. The other attack just changes the floor from ender blocks to some other block that will damage you when you stand on it. This logic could also be used for other bosses who can change the floor to magma.
