My friends and I just went to a conference and we used Google+ Messenger to 
communicate throughout the week.  We had a lot of fun using it and would love 
to build a "Memory Timeline" page so that we can easily review all of the fun 
things we did and said.

However, currently, there is no API available for the Messenger service.  I 
should think the API would work similar to all of the other Google API's.

Without a "formal" API, is there anyway that we could get this data out today? 
Clearly the Messenger App must be using specific URI's for accessing the data.  
Could you disclose a "workaround"?

I also would like to integrate the history better in my client. I use Adium and 
was looking into creating a plugin that got history deltas, so when I am back 
from hangouts mobile on my iPhone I could have the full history on Adium. Also 
interested in an alternative way of getting it until API is available.
