The nameplate logic was adjusted in #894 to no longer customize nameplates for player characters who are in the "Default" profile. This causes a few confusing effects;
If the user has the RP status indicator enabled for nameplates, people in the default profile that are OOC will not have the indicator shown.
If the user has the "Customize non-roleplay units" setting configured to "Do not show", the nameplates of any unit in the default profile will be hidden.
The reason this feels confusing is simply that we don't disable customization of the tooltip for players in the default profile. As such, hovering over one such player will show the OOC indicator, visibly look like they have a profile, but their nameplate will show otherwise and/or may not show at all.
