GTFO ban issue with spambots. #1961

In the bans config if you gtfo someone the ip is shown as 123.54. . not as 123.54.99.87

As far as I am aware with a lot of banning its wildcard, with some other banning it is not. If its in the bans.yml file as that with the . then it will be a wildcard ban.

You can't permban from the wildcard ip, it can ban innocent people.

We do permban from wildcard for all spambots, thats the decision that Mark has made. I disagree with that decision, however thats his choosing. GTFO does also appear then to wildcard ban people based on the last two octaves of their IP if the bans YAML file has the 12.34.. present. Glist ban shouldnt wildcard ban though.
