Enhancing README for modern info #236

Hi there, I just tried to follow the README for first time use, and followed the links to the zip for a somewhat older file. Thought it could use a slight update to what's current. Also made it easier to find the sample configuration file at first glance, and other supported options. I hope this is a quick and easy one for you.
