1 month ago This is available via EventWar already. There's two features, one is called Timed Griefing, and the other is called Occupational Control. As for taxes, each nation has a Conquered Tax that is applied to towns which are conquered.
Puppeting other nations is not always possible, as with most war types the nation is deleted when their last town is conquered by the conquering nation.

I think I've seen someone suggest this before but I'm not sure. It would be interesting to have puppet nations and towns that aren't necessarily in your nation. You would control their politics like allies and enemies, you would get perms in their towns(maybe like build and destroy or make it configurable) and they would pay a set amount of tax to you. It would be interesting to add to event war and siege war as well, to make it so that they could surrender to become your puppet.
