While the concept is appealing, food spoilage produce nasty clutter in inventory/storage, because items wont stack if their freshness (and other NBT) isnt the exact same. Ive used some spoilage mod for Starbound that used averaging the freshness so items can stack, but it leads to exploits every player can find.
Im not really for a spoilage system, unless it is able to overcome the mentioned problems, then it will become a must have !
A workaround would be that newly opened "lootr container" after day "X" cant contain food, but Im not sure how one can do this. ( it wont impact others storages like player chest, but also wont impact other world-gen buildings storages, who are abundant in Lostcities.)
While Im fond of the feeding need addition in Minecraft, lots of people then raised back than it was just a chore, because unless day 1 hour 1 we wont run out of food in a regular gameplay. ( I can see their point )
So, I suggest you don't think of hunger as a major problem, but rather as a bonus for the PVMAX provided by a mod in the modpack. And while I conceive it wont be satisfactory for you, you can roleplay to only eat grown food. ( yet it wont change you'll never be hungry exept day 1 )
Welcome !
In my opinion, there seems to be too much food in abandoned cities. Perhaps reducing the availability of food or increasing the difficulty of obtaining it would make the survival experience more realistic and engaging, or should we add a mod about food spoilage and keep the food in the fridge to keep it fresh? Early in the game there is already a surplus of food in my storehouse, I think I ate too well in Doomsday, lol. By the way, this is a great module pack, I really like it!:D
