I have a question regarding my edits. I use my OSM username to search my edits, but I can't see any edits highlighted in blue. Why?

DenisCarriere commented 6 years ago

The edits highlighted in blue is from Turbo Overpass which you can find your own edits by following the instructions found here: https://github.com/TraceyLauriault/COMS2200A#how-to-query-your-osm-edits

NinaShen, it does show that you've done 20 edits in OSM, however all of these edits have been deemed as invalid by the local OSM community. Unfortunately they didn't give much information into why, however looking at a few edits, I can see that you tagged the River as a Node (Point) which would not be valid since the river is already defined as an Area (Polygon).

You can see your before/after edits using OSM Deep History

This shows that you added a tag with the Mapillary Image key, however it was deleted afterwards.

@NinaShen You've got 19 changesets (20+ edits) which is 100% for this part of the assignment.

@Kabee63 You on the other hand is different, I've been able to find 19 points & 1 way.

When doing the Overpass query, you have to be zoomed into the location you are searching for, if you don't then it won't find any features.

@NinaShen I'm noticing some questionable edits, building=riverbuilding2 or building=building_and_car are both not designated OSM feature. Please use the features found in the OSM iD editor or look up the specific tag in the OSM Wiki. http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Key:building
