Allow downloading track to the mobile filesystem #44

Once you have a great track to follow, you can share it to a different set of sources:

and so on.

However, in most of the cases what I really want to do is to just download the file into my mobile phone. This way, I will be able to upload it to my watch.

Would it be possible for the Android app to allow downloading the file locally?

Hi Nestor! The latest version (1.97) has a new "Open GPX" option on the Share menu. This should allow you to open it in something like Garmin Connect and sync it directly to your watch. Does that help?

Oh, cool! Good one. I was using a previous version. Still, would it make sense to allow downloading the file into the filesystem? In my case I log into Strava and upload the file in their routes generator.

PS: maybe it would be interesting to include the version number in the app itself? For example in modal that shows when you click in the (i) button

Glad I could help! Yes... I might add another option for downloading. Ideally Android would just allow there to be a "Download" button in the share UI, but sadly they don't allow that. As a workaround in the meantime, you can click on "Share GPX" and then "Save to Google Drive" if you like (I realise that's not the same, but achieves a similar effect).
