5950x cpu ttminer beta 4

When using a 5950x cpu the miner displays "algo flex not found for platform" error. it works fine for my 3900x machines.

This might create a CrashDump file in the miner folder if a crash happend. If you see this file can you please send it to me?

did you extract all files of the zip file? Including subfolder? How do you start the miner? Please change to the folder that contains the miner before you start it.

there is no crash dump file that i see. where would it be located? and yes i extracted all the files multiple times through multiple downloads. and im running it from the folder the miner is contained in. im clicking on the bat file to open it. i've installed this on 4 3900x systems prior to this. i did it exactly the same as the others. the only difference is this is a 5950x system. otherwise all things are exactly the same.

If you download from my github or my TradeProject server then this is a false positiv. You will see this flag on almost all miners. Just make sure to download from official sources.

no it blocked it and identified it as a trojan. gave the exact trojan file it was identified as. i downloaded it directly from your github. no problem with the beta 4 download. it didn't flag it. once i downloaded xmrig-mo and it identifed it as a trojan. then later i downloaded the updated version and it didn't flag it. so im pretty sure it has a trojan installed. either way. thank you for your help i wll watch for beta 5. lol. and see if that works.

yes. that's typical if you download a miner. You need to set an exception for the folder you download and run the miner. That could be the problem why your TT not working. MS removes files that it suspect to contain malware. So please add the exception to the minerfolder and download and extract again. then run. let me know if that fixes to problem.

there was no virus detected in the beta 4. i downloaded it and deleted it several times when it wouldnt work . bet;a 4 worked perfectly for the 4 previous installs. i downloaded beta 4 first. and there was no flag on it. i only tried to download beta 3 when 4 wouldn't work. that's when beta 3 was flagged. after i tried beta 4. so there was no problem or lost files in beta 4 download.

thats a screenshot from rabid mining discord. where a guy who had the same problem was trying to teach me how to fix it. he said he was using beta 4. it didn't make any sense to me what he was trying to describe to me to do though.

so i did an exception for the wholle ttminer file folder and the ago folder. still says flex not available for platform. i checked if the algo ghostridercpu.dll was in the algos folder it is. dont know what to do now.

so, ttminer beta 4 installed on one out of four 5950x machines i loaded it on and worked. the other three all gave the same error screen. "flex algo not avaiable for this platform". the four 3900x machines i loaded it on all work. it doesn't make any sense. the anti virus and anti malware didn't block anything on any of the installs. i did everything exactly the same. it's got me bewildered. so far 5 for 8 on the installs. so, i know what i'm doing. been doing this awhile. it just makes no sense to me. all the files are there. all the algos are there. all the application files are there. ?????

So I made the exception so it would download the ZIP file. Then made and exception for the file folder and opened it. Modified the bat with my settings. Ran it and got the same thing. I even shut off windows firewall and virus protection. Still won't work.

Except now the warning reads algo flex not supported for platform opencl. Ignored No device that can be used for mining selected.

this is what was blocked when i tried downloading the zip file. i added a process exclusion and it allowed it to be downloaded. then i added an exclusion for the whole file it contained.

I think its widnows defender deleting algo because 3 days ago i had the same issue.. and didnt do anything are redownload anything. I just started beta 5 and it started working.. while at the same time beta 4 and beta 5 did the same thing and didnt work 2 days prior. all i did was update defender then allow it and it quit deleting it. I have noticed windows defender will delete several key files out of your various folders and the program runs but crashes diffrent ways. I think your code is fine. This is a windows only thing related to defender.

@eltortuga1969 try using WSL and i gurantee you it should work and if so then your pc is fine just defender and you could go back to windows.
