8 years ago In v1.12.0, we changed the function of the Test Connection button to instead of searching for devices, it only checks the connection settings that are entered.
In a future version we will bring back the ability to search for devices after we redesign it. It most likely will have a Find Devices button that will find available network nodes and then run MTConnect Probe requests on them and display the results in a table format.
When the Test Configuration button under Device Manager -> Edit Device -> Agent is clicked and the probe request fails, it continues to probe on port 5000 in a loop.
This should run a probe request on a set of common ports (5000 - 5020) until a successful probe request is returned.
