Great way to ruin a project that might otherwise have been interesting. Would recommend filing a report to Github if you also got a spam email. Github is the last place I need spam from.
@Malfrador It is standard practice to report to GitHub directly and post an issue for community visibility when this happens. Some people also post to HN. [Unfortunately this happens quite regularly.]
If you are claiming that holding companies accountable for harvesting contact info from GitHub to send unsolicited spam is "spam" itself, I strongly disagree.
The GitHub ToS are very clear that this is not permitted. The company chose to break the ToS.
As you are aware, spamming people by scraping their email address and other contact info from GitHub is a violation of the GitHub ToS that can result in getting your account banned.

I never gave you or your any company permission to contact me.
