Capable to use TransiEnt in OpenModelica? #3

Closed wangzizhe closed 2 years ago

Hi, since in the description it is written:

Currently, only Dymola provides full suppport of TransiEnt. The development team has tested all models carefully using Dymola 2022x.

Can I use TransiEnt in OpenModelica? Will I get some problems?

Vielen Dank im Voraus! Viele Grüße

Hi @wangzizhe, unfortunately, the TransiEnt library is not yet compatible with OpenModelica, although we would like to work on that in the longterm. The TransiEnt library is based on the ClaRa library which is currently also not working with OM. There is a team working on the OM compatibility of the ClaRa library and the remaining issues will hopefully be solved soon. Once this is done, we will start working on the TransiEnt to make it OM compatible but we cannot give an estimation as to when it will be achieved, since we don’t know yet the extend of the changes that will need to be undertaken.

Is this still up-to-date?

Note that the latest release of ClaRa should support OpenModelica (see their release notes)
